WAEC Grading System/Points 2019/2020 | How to Calculate WAEC Grade: The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is an examination board that conducts the West African Senior School Certificate Examination. The Council has released its official grading points for WASSCE Candidates PDF.

WAEC Grading System is the use of alphabets and letters to represent a particular score, this helps students to better understand their results. The table below represents the new WAEC grading system:

A1 Excellent
B2 Very Good
B3 Good
C4/C5/C6 Credit
D7/D8 Pass
E8 Pass
F9 Fail

1) A1 and B2 in the WASSCE means Excellent
2) B3 is B (Very Good)
3) C4 is C (Good)
4) C5 and C6 are D (Credit)
5) D7 and E8 are E (Pass)
6) F9 is F (Fail).

B2 70%–79% Very good

C4 60%–64% Credit
C5 55%–59% Credit
