Suspects nabbed after Osun cult killings

About five people were killed between Sunday and Tuesday at Imo, Sabo/Irojo Junction and Oke Omiru -all within Ilesa metropolis by Ave and Eye cult groups battling for supremacy in the town.
Giving an update about the security situation in the town during an interview with PUNCH Metro on Thursday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said, “Some arrest have made”, but declined given the number of those so far arrested.
Opalola, who said operatives were still on the trail of some of the suspected perpetrators of the crime, added that normalcy had returned to the town.
She said, “We are still on the trail of some of the perpetrators. They are fleeing but we are still on the trail. Normalcy has returned to the town.
“We have made some arrest in connection with the incident, but I don’t have the number of those arrested presently.”
Recall that the State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, had on Wednesday directed security agencies in the state to end violent attacks in Ilesa which led to the death of about five residents in less than one week.
