State by State Breakdown of Nigerian Police Shortlisted Candidates: Numbers of Applications Received for Nigeria Police Constable (Recruits). See How states, regions stand in police recruitment test results.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the list of successful candidates for the just concluded Constable recruitment exercise. According to the state by state breakdown released, the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has shortlisted 315,032 Constables (Recruits) which consist of 271,068 for male and 43,785 for female applicants.

“The Commission will commence the next step of shortlisting qualified applicants based on its advertised requirements and successful ones will be invited for physical and document screening. The shortlisting will be carried out online.”

“The applicants are required to possess an 0’ level certificate or its equivalent with at least five credits including Mathematics and English language in not more than two sittings.

Applicants must be a Nigerian Citizen, not less than 18 years of age or more than 25 years of age. They must also be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.”

The information gathered shows that Niger State have the highest numbers of applicants for the next stage of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Constable Recruitment exercise, followed by Kaduna, Kano and Katsina respectively. While states with the lowest number of applicants are Lagos, Bayelsa, Anambra, Ebonyi followed by Abia State which has 2,976 applicants, see breakdown below:
