Pairs golf tourney returns to Uyo

CEO, Falcon Golf Development Company, Remi Olukoya, is thrilled about the return of the golf competition to Uyo.
“We’ve not had the privilege of hosting a significant golf competition in Uyo in recent years. However, this year marks a remarkable return of the International Pairs to this iconic course, where 50 pairs of golfers will contend for honours and recognition. The Ibom Golf Resort stands as a golfing paradise one cannot afford to miss. It invariably promises a weekend to remember, and that is the assurance we extend to every participant this year.”
Already, golfers from various clubs, including Ikoyi Club 1938, IBB International Golf & Country Club, Ikeja Golf Club, Benin Club Golf Section, Port Harcourt Golf Club, Lakowe Lakes Golf Club, Kaduna Golf Club and the host club Ibom Golf Club, have confirmed their participation in the competition.
The International Pairs, which began in the United Kingdom in 1998 as a tourney to mark the millennium, has now become a global phenomenon, drawing golfers from all corners of the world.
This year’s championship in Uyo promises to be an exceptional gathering of golfing talent and enthusiasts, all set against the backdrop of the stunning Ibom Icon Golf Resort.
While Pepsi is a major sponsor, Meristem has secured a prime sponsorship position. Furthermore, Suzuki Motors, under the management of CFAO Motors, is offering a thrilling opportunity for golfers should they score a hole-in-one on the signature Hole 12, staking one of their brands on the hole.
