Functions of NDLEA: The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency shall deploy all resources at its disposal for the total eradication of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances; suppression of demand for illicit drugs and other substances of abuse; recovery of ill-gotten wealth, acquired from proceeds of illicit drug trade, protection, enhancement and maintenance of the image of Nigeria and Nigerians at home and abroad.

The NDLEA ranking system is divided into two namely: Commissioned and Non Commissioned Officers. It may interest you to know that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency pay scales is done according to ranks of the officers, beginning from the highest rank staff to the lowest position. The NDLEA pay slip is different from the Nigerian army salary, Custom, Airforce, Navy and Nigerian Fire service.

NDLEA Ranks & Salary Structure/Scale 2018

The new salary structure for paramilitary personnel in Nigeria, the Consolidated Para-Military Salary Structure (CONPASS), which provides for an increase in basic salary and allowance for Federal Road Safety Corp officers and all paramilitary organizations.

  1. The average salary of Nigeria Federal Road Safety Corp workers – ₦888,956-₦1,000,000 annually (₦75,000 monthly).
  2. The highest salary is received by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
  3. It was stated that salary grade level 07 is automatically moved to salary grade level 08, so this means that National Drug Law Enforcement Agency officers salaries are growing.
