Gunmen kill five, injure others in Benue

No fewer than five people have been killed by gunmen in Ayilamo, a village in Logo Local Government of Benue State.
According to Catherine Anene, the spokesperson for the police command in Benue State, the attack occurred on Tuesday night.
“A few others sustained injuries,” Anene added.
She further disclosed that another attack occurred in the Mbachohon community in Gwer-West Local Government, but added that details in respect of that incident were not available.
According to reports, six people were killed by gunmen in a separate attack in Mbachohon.
“The attacks are unfortunate; more security men are being deployed to the areas to restore peace,” Anene told the reporters.
