Gunmen burn eight soldiers, policemen to death in Imo

Gunmen have reportedly killed eight security personnel, including soldiers, police officers, and members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The gunmen carried out the tragedy on Tuesday morning in Umualumaku village, Ehime Mbano Local Government locals, has caused concern among the locals.
The gunmen ambushed and set fire to the joint security task force team, which was in two security trucks.
They were all burned alive inside their patrol trucks.
A security operative who did not want to be identified told newsmen that reinforcement teams had been dispatched to the crime scene to apprehend and retrieve the bodies of the slain security worker.
A community resident who did not want to expose his identity for security reasons said he observed the security agents a few minutes before they were set on fire.
He claimed that the development had thrown the community into disarray.
When reached, Henry Okoye, the state police spokesperson, confirmed the development but requested more time to investigate the horrific tragedy.
