Fire guts TCN’s Kebbi transmission substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria transmission substation in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State, experienced a fire incident on Thursday night.
Although the immediate source of the fire has not yet been identified, the 330 kilovolt (kV) facility is said to have been consumed by it.
The tragedy happened just 24 hours after a similar outbreak caused the national grid to collapse. The event was reported to Chronicle NG on Friday by Nafiu Abubakar, the Kebbi State Police Command spokesperson.
TCN couldn’t be reached, despite our best efforts.
